I've been noticing around the shops that neon is very "on trend" at the moment. For Spring/Summer 2012, expect to see more neon highlights in home decor and fashion. Who can't resist these bright, bold and friendly colours? Full of cheer, they're a stand-out piece for both the eye and the brain. I love the idea of using neon as a colour pop -- as a brave colour choice for a table, door or chair -- but I also think neon paint all over the room, or on a feature wall, gives the space some mighty pizzazz. It definitely makes me think of warmer weather to come. And I'm also in love with the 3 colour choices of the doors in the images above, especially when paired with a white space. I'm also a big fan of neon lacquer coffee tables (or dining-room tables!) Jonathan Adler comes to mind, since he has a magnificent orange lacquer coffee table that will melt the winter blues away. What are your experiences with neon?
So much fun! I especially love the neon paired with the dark grey and black. ugh... now I have to go re-paint! :) thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI like that combination, too. And the cool thing about it is that you can never pick the wrong "neon" tone with grey and black.
Deletei never thought neon would come back! I definitely am liking it for pops of colour, especially when paired with neutrals. I think we'll get it right the second time around ;)
